Ezekiel 33:6 "A responsibilitie of the Watchmen of You people, is to warn You. At Genesis 9:4 It reads, "Only flesh with its soul -it's blood- You must not eat" Genesis 9:4

In this particular scripture, if its not clear, Noah and his Sons are given warning what they can eat and what they cannot eat. Later on, a more specific record is made which may show how they understood Genesis 9:4 to mean, were it reads, " 'As for any man of the sons of Israel or some alien resident who is residing as an alien in Your midst who in hunting catches a wild beast or a fowl that may be eaten, he must in that case pour its blood out and cover it with dust." Leviticus 17:13

It appears that the blood needed to come upon the surface of the earth and the amount, to the discretion of the hunter. And, as regards 'pouring out' the blood may sugjest an unsophisticated technique.

I am expecting a baby. Should I make a sacrifice after the child is born? Would wood pigeons be appropriate, or maybe a pheasant? And where should I take it? I don't know where my nearest synagogue is, would my local parish church be OK?

"...And you will have joy and great gladness, and many will rejoice over his birth; for he will be great before Jehovah...and he will be filled with holy spirit right from his mothers womb: and many of the sons of Israel will he turn back to Jehovah their God. Also, he will go before him with Elijah's spirit and power, to turn back the hearts of Fathers to children..." Luke 1:14-17

I could never see how blood transfusions are wrong even by biblical standards since they don't involve death or coercion as was the case with animals killed for their meat.

So why did Paul say to the Corinthians that it was OK to " keep eating" "everything that is sold in a meat market" that may have been improperly bled or sacrificed to idols , when Paul also stated, in Acts 15:28, 29 "For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to you, except these necessary things, to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper. Good health to you!" Why is Paul contradicting his own teachings?

Because Paul did not write Acts and whoever wrote Acts (i.e. the same person who wrote Luke), in trying to portray the early apostolic church as harmonious and unified, attributed to Paul (or rather, to all the apostles) a position he most likely did not have -- as can be seen in Paul's very clear and elaborate statement on the matter of "things sacrificed to idols" in 1 Corinthians, which was written after the Jerusalem council was supposed to have taken place. The Pauline speeches in Acts similarly depart from Pauline theology in a number of ways.

Yet another nail in the All Scripture Is Inspired By Godâ„¢ (and contains no errors) coffin.

    Thanks Leolaia!

1Corinthians 10:25-33 "Everything that is sold in a meat market keep eating, making no inquiry on account of Your conscience;...do not eat...Conscience...I am partaking with thanks...I give thanks...I am...not seeking my own advantage but that of the many."

Did Paul make it clear, that even if it was disclosed to him the food being, 'somthing offered in sacrifice,' he still had freedom. Consequently, he choose for himself to abstain for the benefit of the greater number.

Acts 15: 28,29 "For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no futher burden to You, except these necessary things, to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If You carefully keep yourselves from these things, You will prosper. Good health to You!"

It appears that the things to these people didn't make them tremble, but it reads, "they rejoiced over the encouragement." Then it may be that they were 'abstaining' within their own freedom(s).

Was wondering if their would be any practical benefit to informing the medical proffession, not to the effect that they had been fooled by the people of the Watchtower because, they are a bright bunch of proffessionals but, that In this particular scripture, "Only flesh with its soul --it's blood-- You must not eat" Noah and his sons are given warning what they can and what they cannot eat. Later on, a more specific record is made which may show how they understood Genesis 9:4 to mean, were it reads, "As for any man of the sons of Israel or some alien resident who is residing as an alien in Your midst who in hunting catches a wild beast or a fowl that may be eaten, he must in that case pour its blood out and cover it with dust." Leviticus 17:13 It is apparent that the animal needed to be bled and then the blood of the animal may have been treated as a waste product, were it was poured out on the ground and covered with dust. Deuteronomy 23:13 Anyway, I would be willing to put together an e-letter to be mailed to the e-addresses that You people provide to, health officals of government, medical instutions, surgeons or other persons of interest. What do You think?
