I see these madmen, lost in 3 prophets' compositions (Russell, Rutherford, and F. Franz), believing that THEY ARE the Governing Body of Jehovah's making - and that this is THEIR HOUR. Deluded, demented, and very dangerous. Some believe they can call down "fire from heaven" and THEY DO on the poor R & F. No hidden agenda - deluded, demented, and very dangerous.

No matter what the gb's reasoning is or their beliefs are or their actions are.

In the end it all ends up being just about what Farkel said.

Save the society at all costs. In their mind "they are the society, gods spokesmen".

Accepting even the smallest of thought, {that the society may disintegrate} can not be tolerated by these old mostly disturbed old men.

I wonder about this often. What is the true motive of the GB? Of course, many posters here are correct, it is entirely possible and probable for any individual or group to have multiple motives that work together in a matrix. But does anyone with any experience with the GB or Bethel or just more years in the Society than myself have any insight? Is it in the primary goal matrix, if you will, of the Governing Body to amass wealth, bring about the Kingdom of Jehovah, breed an army of zombie cultists for world domination or what? Do they buy the tripe they sell and just happen to be clueless as to the impact of the policies they push on the rank and file? Or are they just trying to make a buck with publishing? As someone who has studied land use planning and policy, I see a huge seizure of and monopoly of some prime historic Brooklyn Heights property as a big deal, but I have yet to really begin studying that one. What gives?

I'm just guess here but, if making money honestly in this old system will further the interests of Jehovah then it seems fair game. If making money was the goal in itself then that would be wrong and condemned in the scriptures. It may be impossible to determine which is the true motive for the GB.

For me, I believe that they truly believe in their position and are confused as to why the end isn't here yet and why the organization has problems.

I see no evidence that the GB are nothing but true believers in their apocalyptic belief system.

A matter of months before the predicted dats for Armageddon 1925, 1975, whilst the GB was encouraging people to not to marry, not to have kids, even sell homes & businesss, give up jobs, etc, it was all the time making long term investments on earth.

Yes, they may think the end may be close, but I believe there is much evidence from what I've read of the history that a more important motive is to 'protect' and isolate JWs from influences that could and would lead to them leaving.

they never let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. The whole belief system is full of hidden agendas. I'm just far too tired to go into it right now.

What else do you discern in their hidden agenda?

To mention an example they say that the jw kids should not attend university because it is pointless in view of the end soon, the risks of fleshly temptations and loss of eternal life, the god blessed pioneering work is a better way to spend their time etc.

Show me an article to back up that claim! The GB actually encourages education. It was recently discussed in a Watchtower lesson some months back. Get your facts right before asserting such claims. People who make false claims about Witness are one of the problems why people are so MISINFORMED about us!
