I read a funny book once that claimed that the fatal head shot was fired accidentally by a trigger-happy Secret Service agent in the car behind the presidential limo...

    Oops!!!

I really think there was a conspiracy, and Rubin shot Oswald to make sure he didn't reveal anything. Rubin may have willing to suffer the inprisonment and not the torture of crossing the mob.

    Leo,

    Oops!
I'm thinking someone like the captain of F troop fitting the bill.

There was a brilliant documentary on this a couple of years ago, some guy had done a 3d computer reconstruction of the events from the video that was taken of the assasination. He plotted the trajectories of the bullets from the entry and exit wounds on Kennedy and the other guy's bodies, and guess what? The paths extrapolated back to a third floor window in the book depository. So, lone gunman for me.

I'll see if I can find something on the web about this guys work. The documentary was fascinating though. They ripped Ollie Stone's movie a new one

edit: SIXTH floor window, I meant sixth floor window. DOH

Here's the link, http://www.jfkfiles.com/jfk/html/intro.htm, and the conclusions of the work are under the tab conclusions, obviously. Ya pays ya money and ya takes ya choice.

Governor Connolly's wounds were consistent with a slow moving, monolithic solid bullet fired from a 7.65 Mannlicher-Carcano.

    President Kennedy's wounds were not.

Therefore I have to (reluctantly) side with the conspiracy crowd on this one. There were at least two weapons involved.

    LOL fleaman

I remember seeing the documentary and feeling profoundly stupid for ever having believed the JFK movie so much without questioning more, but then again I seem to remember that at the time I also believed that a bunch of incontinent old men in Brooklyn were the earthly mouthpiece of god in my pants.

a lone psychopathic gunman -Lee Oswald-

although i don't know if he was a psychopath or not. He may have simply chosen to change the world for what he thought would be for the better. Assinating leaders has been going on since the time of trbal kings.

Iggy you should do more research rather than just believe a documentary, you should check out some pro conspiracy websites.

Kennedy's head was thrown back when he got shot and this proves that the deadly shot came from the front. In addition virtually all people that saw the wound said the bullet struck from the front and exited from the back of the head ie the entry hole at the front was small and at the back it was massive.

Exactly. I never felt so certain about there having been a conspiracy until I saw the uncut version of the Zapruder film. Maybe I just don't understand the physics of bullet impact well enough, but there is no way that the shot that killed JFK in that film came from behind. His head clearly jerks back hard and tissue can be seen flying backwards from it.
