I just want to point out that communications over an SSL connection are secure from snooping between your browser and the receiving server, with the exception that routers in between can see the destination (not the contents) of the communications.

If you are on a network that is being monitored, you can therefore provide communication privacy by connecting to a proxy server outside the network via an SSL connection. The monitors will be able to see that you are connecting to the proxy server, but will be unable to know what your actual destination or communication content is.

    Hope that helps!

Thats true but if they have a good proxy server than it should be blocking those anonymizer sites. Bottom line though is if someone really wants to get around the proxy they can, and if that guy really wants to monitor his dad from 1000 miles away he can

    1. Use your own computer, in your own room, over a dial-up connection. A lot of the Bethelites had laptops.

but I'm willing to bet the maids snoops sisters know how to tap the cookies and history. Just like they have a habit and reputation for digging up rap music...

Okay, the proxy thing could be tough to set up for a non-technical person, but how about this: internet over a dial-up connection (point-to-point to the ISP, impossible for Bethel to monitor), using a browser such as Firefox that allows you to totally erase your history (history, images, cookies, everything) at the end of each session. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you easily can do that in Firefox, cantcha?

Certainly Bethel, the business, monitors internet use on its own computer network. Most companies do, and that's fine if they're paying for the access, and access is on company time as well.

But what proportion of Bethelites have their own laptops and access? How many Bethelites are regulars on sites such as JWD, in their own rooms, in their own time?

Not sure. Why don't you knock on every door in the wing of Bethel that you live in, and do a survey?

Yup. You can set it to clear all those things everytime you close FF.

BTW, has anyone upgraded to FF 2.0?

It boggles the mind. Yet, it would stand to reason that the number is pretty high, as is the degree of "association" with "apostates" on the number one most dynamic website relating to ALL THINGS WATCHTOWER/ JW.

I am not clever enough to understand all this argument. All I know is when I picketed Bethel in New York,One of the Brothers< ???? when we were out of sight of the building told me very quitely ---" we can find you all( Apostates)on the internet-"--so he was a live in Bethel guy- so I guess they do read our stuff. Lets hope it gets planted in their blinded minds & they see the light at the end of the tunnell
