Although several of the board members of BRCI posted on Channel C, it was not run or controlled by BRCI. I'm a board member of BRCI, but I never posted on Channel C....never even visited the site... They are separate entities...

From what I know the exodus from H2O was very different from the supposed 'exodus' from JWD. The author of the letter doesn't seem to recognize that.
Also notice, the remark about the mad trinitarians.
Some Christian ex-JW formus seem to be obsessed with sticking to a bunch of fundamental truths and not even getting involved in discussions about them. Creating a forum by inviting only recomended members is ridiculous and it reminds me of the WTS world.
I think this board is great because ex-Jws of so many different walks of life can interact here in a relatively civilized manner. There is no restrictions for christians /atheists/agnostics/buddists here. But if you make a stupid argument here you should be ready to face the consequences ;-) regardless of your denomination.
I wish more Christians were more relaxed about what we actually believe in. After all we're all people, people. LOL. But their 'friendship' seem to always have this string attached. I like you, but if you just loved the Christ the way I do.

Never been too interested in channel C, but I've appreciated some of the other things Ros has done for exiting JWs.
I was on one of her e-mail lists years ago (pre-JWD), and it was instrumental in helping me sort through a lot of muck. Dark days those were, and she sought me out from a post on H2O that unsympathetic "luminaries" trampled on. I left her group when I was strong enough to take the next step.
I have much appreciation for all Ros has done over the years, even towards those who walk a different path. I wish her well, and understand her need to move on. LOL, there is nothing new under the...

It's "Biblical Research & Commentaries International" I'm not sure how the name was arrived at. I became involved in the early 90s...and it had been around for about a decade at that time. BRCI runs the WHY-1914 Help line, which is there to give support to anyone effected by the watchtower. It's someone to talk to that understands. I manned the help line myself for extended periods when Marilyn needed help. It was always the rule that we should never get doctrinal or push our own views on anyone... just give support and understanding at a critical time. Even here, where few know my identity, I don't get into debate about doctrine. Some enjoy that kind of thing... I don't

I am sad to hear that because I visit occasionally and there are often some really interesting topics and insightful answers on that forum eg recently, can we really prove and document that the jws are really a cult or are we just trying to demean them?

Channel C would not let me join because I do not consider myself "of Christian faith".
However, I consider it the end of an era that ros is leaving xjw-community. -

Though Ros announced the "Closing" of Channel C several months ago, she never did actually close it. It is still up and running. http://www.channelc.org/cgi-bin/eboard30/index.cgi Well, sort of. What Ros actually did was change it from an exclusive board to a very exclusive board. She did so by expelling many posters who she did not like for one reason or another (like disagreeing with her about something) and then treating several others there so rudely that they left saying they would never again participate on any discussion board run by her. What is now left of Channel C is very, very small discussion board for Ros and a few high profile ex-JWs, who if they knew how nasty Ros has treated many Christian and non-Christian ex-JWs they would probably also not want to participate any longer on her board.
