Honesty
The gift of everyone on this board: Freedom from feeling guilty and doomed to eternal death just because some demonised old bastards in New York said I was unworthy.

Unconditional love and acceptance of my quirky behaviour by my man.
Damselfly ( and my amber butterfly pendant is pretty cool too! )

Every gift I'm given. I'm grateful any time anyone thinks of me. Seriously!
My biggest and best gift is my sweetie Kevan. He loves me anyway, and I love him anyway.

A friend of mine, whom I had not seen in over a decade, sent me a beautiful bracelet last Christmas. I'm wearing it right now, as a matter of fact. The thing is, I have a long, wierd history with her family, and she has reason to dislike me quite a bit for stupid things I've done. So, it meant so much to me that she thought well enough of me to give me a gift, in spite of past history. Gawd, I love that woman, she's a saint!
Also, my honey occasionally buys me stuff you'd ordinarily give to a kid, ie stuffed animals, children's books, a little telescope. He does this partly so I can experience some of the fun kid stuff I missed the first time around. It's also (I think) because he never had children of his own, and I'm younger than he is, so he's kind of adopted me as his child. Which sounds creepy and weird, but is actually lovely for both of us.

I think it was more the thought. For the first time ever last year, out of the blue I received a ton of birthday gifts. I felt touched, especially so as I never asked for them and they were all from witnesses and my bithday was no milestone number.

Well, let's see, how about a little life survey?
- Mattel Thingmakerâ„¢, when I was maybe 9 years old - still a treasured memory today
- First food processor, a gift from my husband; I wore that thing out.
- And all the computers and relevant doodads over the years. Especially that "on-the-downlow" copy of MicroSoft Word, way back when; it made me employable.
- And all the gift certificates and presents my former boss/mentor gave me (and my other workmates) whenever we finished a difficult project or mastered a new skill - not the gifts in particular, but the fact of her giving them.

Two things, my favorite blanket made for me by my moms best friend, I still have it even though its been around for 20 some years.
My mans ring, the one that always was with him, the ring that means the most to him. He gave it to me, the gesture behind it means more than the ring. It's in my care until he returns.
