I have'nt bought the book yet: it is only available in English at the moment.
I do have the first 5 in Dutch translation, from which I never read the last one: lent it from the library in English cos I could'nt wait by then.
Now I decided to wait till the end of november when it will come out in the Dutch translation : "Harry Potter en de halfbloed prins"
Anyone who wants to tell me who that is ?

I thought Malfoy's order from Voldemort was to kill Dumbledore. Since Snape made the unbreakable vow to Narcissa, when Malfoy failed, Snape had no choice but to follow through with the orders to kill Dumbledore.
I think that's what Rowling wants the reader to think. In every book we are led to think one way (Snape is going to take the Sorceror's Stone; Malfoy has opened the Chamber of Secrets, etc.) only to find out the truth was just the opposite. I think Snape was serious about the vow, and does want to protect Malfoy, but at that moment in time Malfoy was not in danger. None of the other Death Eaters were going to kill him, in fact they wanted him to stand aside so they could kill Dumbledore. This is one reason I think Snape killed Dumbledore, on Dumbledore's wishes ("Severus, please"). Now afterward Snape took Malfoy by the hand to guide him through the battle and out of the castle. There he was in danger and needed Snape's protection.
So, if Harry is indeed the Gryffendor horcrux, Voldermort would know it. Also, Voldemort would have no way of knowing that Harry would be sorted into Gryffendor in the future so it seems unlikely that Harry would be the representative of Gryffendor. Just my thoughts. I'm pretty sure Peter Pettigrew was also Gryffendor, I'll ask Rhys.

Maybe that's one reason Voldemort wants to kill Harry himself, so that he can get back 1/7 of his soul.

Yeah I had the same idea lilbit. I've started over on Philospher's Stone and already I found out some things i missed the first time (Harry's parents were killed on Halloween).
