I remember that talk. " Poor Johnnie! Poor Johnnie! Poor Johnnie! He can't go out and play with the other kids on the block. Poor Johnnie! He don't have any fun, no holidays, birthday parties. Poor Johnnie! The only kid on his block that will conquer the world in th 1970's! The only kid on his block who will survive Armaggedon!
There was a big laugh when he whined about poor Johnnie. Who is laughing now? Poor Circuit Overseer, all worn out since then carrying on the same old facade

:::::::::::::::::::::::::: Extremely funny - a good one!
How about wearing the "Who Will Conquer the World in the 1970's?" convention badge (image supplied by Osarsif above) during the 2005 "Godly Obedience" convention?
Think anyone there would notice or say anything about it?

Poor Johnnie is now about 45 years old.
How old now is the poor circuit overseer who gave that special talk?
Notice how the Watchtower did not ever print the text of that talk? They knew quite well that it would be an embarrassment to them for it to be pointed out 35 years later, like we are doing here.
The Watchtower would prefer that all such talks as that one be forgotten by all, then they would be free to rewrite history as they please.
I do hope that this talk might have been recorded on tape by someone, it is high time for the talk to be replayed for all to hear.
