On Sept. 2-4, there will be the yearly International Conference for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Ex-Jw's to be held in Dallas Texas. The below link gives more information as to schedule, etc.
I have never been to one, but I hear from others it is a wonderful event, with lots of discussions, and a chance to meet other Ex-Jw's from all over the world.
There are some Hotels in Dallas area that are fairly reasonable in case anyone plans on coming.
I should be moved down there by then, and would love to meet others!
This conference isn't cheap but I've heard its wonderful. I know a few of these guys, a fun and friendly bunch. Any GLBTs should really consider going.

I too have heard really good things about it, hearing the experiences, and advice from the professionals that will be speaking can be a healing thing. That and knowing we aren't alone...

Ohiocowboy: I would love to attend that but I have a friend visiting from Denmark and he only visits once in a blue moon since he lives in europe and he should be here around that time. But maybe next year. If you are driving down south and happen to pass through Little Rock, let me know. We can have coffee :)
Littlerockguy, Maybe you and your friend could come down for a day or so, and we can explore the city. I will be freshly moved down there, and rarin' to see the sites! My apartment is smack dab in the middle of the scene, nice cafe's, shops, and 'da clubs...
