Actually, it derives from the Greek adjective "Andreos," which idiomatic for "Brave," but literally "Manly."

Carol on my birth certificite...which I have always spelled as Carroll. When I was a kid I was loath to let it be known, as I would be teased without end, since it was said to be a girls name. Funny how some childhood things are no longer important. Another time, another place.

My middle name is John, first name Charles, but my nickname is C.J.
People forget my name sometimes, and I get called B.J. or D.J. or T.J. or P.J. Any initials I hear, I figure it is me...

Quentin, Kids can be cruel. When my brother got mad at me he would call me Asslyn. I would then call him Wilbur the pig. LOL

Lee. Everybody thinks it's my first name because I use it as a first name. In reality, it's not.

My middle name is Breck. I have gone by my middle name my whole life. My first name is Lee, but no one has ever called me that. I don't particularly care for the name Lee anyhow. I sign everything L. Breck Taylor.
