Extremists and kids.

There's no question that adult extremists target easily influence kids to carry out horrible acts, such as suicide bombings, and encourage these kids to become "martyrs". The JW church is no different, encouraging their kids to be martyrs like was done in this magazine :

These kids, usually in their early teens are obviously taken advantage of by the church.

What I'm wondering is, has anyone done a published study regarding the effects of extremism on kids and how they are mentally unprepared and vulnerable to make the desicions they are?

You brought up a great one here.

Yes just like these extremists use kids to further their cause, so does the society, the kids are indoctrinated at a very young age. I mean they drill no blood into your head, with promises of resurrection in paradise....sounds a lot like the suicide bombers being promised several virgins in heaven.

Its child labour surely? Getting the kids out there on the preaching work. I think I answered the door once and there was a nervous 8 year old clutching a pair of magazines in his nervous fingers, psycho adult stood behind him with a ~~kingdom~~ 'crazy' smile. It was so uncomfortable... mind you I remember when i was like him... didnt like it one bit.

I remember that mag when it came out and I cringed. But then I cringed at most of what was in the mags month after month.

Most JWs do if they are honest, but they are trapped in a mind set, that the WT is always right

When that veil is finally lifted from your eyes, im astounded to what I put up with for 20 years as an adult.

As its been mentioned here before if you would sacrifice your own children, what else would you do????

That is exactly what I think.

Whenever I read those posts on here from a non-dub wanting to date or marry a JW, assuming that they can change the dubs perspective or that love will win them over, I think of the above quoted statement.

The only true love in the Jehovah's Witness organization is to the society.
