Those original IBM keyboards were much nicer to use. I know someonw who has a really cheap one and it is terrible - no feedback at all.
I've got a Microsoft one with the fingerprint reader and lots of fancy buttons (none of which I bother with). Not bad to type on though.
I always get Cherry keyboards, they are top quality imho, no fancy knobs or buttons though, so if you want a hairdressers keyboard look elsewhere. :)
I've got a clickety keyboard! they are not that rare in my area.
The ones I can't stand is the Laptop keyboards ohhh I hate them sooo much!!!
I love my keyboard! its black and silver!
