He didn't revile and disfellowship those that disagreed with him, he had some money put aside for the poor ie approved of charity work, didn't live in luxury.

JC didn't write a single word. Many scholars think he was illiterate. It's also strange what with all the miracles he did and such, his own closest followers waited decades before they wrote a single word about his life.

When Jesus died and the tombstones were knocked over and the dead people, including ancient prophets went into town to see what was happening and perhaps get a cup of latte, NO ONE wrote about it when it "happened." The greatest miracle of all time and no one bothered to write about it until decades later.

    Strange.

They are welcome to their thoughts, but they have no evidence for or against - it's based on speculation. As for his disciples, couldn't it be that they had to learn to write Greek n stuff, after the "Alive in AD75" speculations prove dubious. It's not as if they could run down to a local Barnes and Noble and pick up a copy of "Koine for Dummies" and a good calendar with pastal pictures of Galilee, now, is it?

LIke good beer, the brewing of these things takes time...

As for knocking on doors, he probably knocked on loads, as he was a carpenter. Maybe this is where the JWs get the fetish from. We should all hold up our left sandles, too! No, no, follow the gourd!

I've seen Life of Brian many many times....

Still haven't read C of C... you think I need too?

I lived my own version of WT "hell"...Ray's would just be another version...

Is it really that good? Or would it just reaffirm what I already know and have experienced?

He was aware of his disciples level of understanding and he was careful not to tell them things that they weren't psychologically ready to accept, so as not to confuse them.

    So are "christians" today...less confused?

I've NEVER seen a more un-loving, CONFUSED, proud, fanatical, deny the facts, self-righteous group than "Christ-ians"

    Christ should be ashamed...
