*****I've updated this information with the last couple months of U.S. Kingdom Ministrys. It would be neat to have someone from Germany, France, UK do the same so we could project a fairly accurate growth rate for those countries. 2 004-2005 SERVICE YEAR BAPTISMS

(as reported in the U.S. KM)

    Sept ’04 1,791

    Oct ’04 2,680

    Nov ’04 2,331

    Dec ’04 1,923

    Jan ’05 1,419

    Feb ’05 1,441

    Mar ’05 2,056

    Apr ’05 2,543

    May ’05 2,009

    Jun ’05 2,737 (Jun ’04- 3,253) -less than '04

    Jul ’05 5,328 (Jul ’04- 5,536) -less than '04

Aug ’05 ????(Aug’04-2,624) - Must wait for December KM

TOTAL SO FAR FOR 2004/5: 26,258

    ADD 2004 FOR JUN-AUG 2,624 (using last year’s data)

ESTIMATED TOTAL BAPTIZED FOR U.S. BRANCH – 28,882 (That is 1,694 less than last year)

Unless a whole bunch more than historically shown get baptized in August it appears that the U.S. numbers will show less growth than last year. The question is: how many were df'd or da'd or passed away or walked away compared to last year to see how the overall growth percentage is. The July service report only shows 996,368 total publishers compared to 1,019,696 at the end of last year. July and August have traditionally higher publisher totals due to summer vacations and District Conventions.

I’ve reviewed the District Convention baptism thread and it appears that the number baptized remains similar to last years conventions. Time will tell ; but if so about 30,000 baptized for the year is about right.
