"If a tree falls to the south or if to the north, in the place where the tree falls there it will prove to be."
"Solomon" must have been a very smart man. Or is it the NWT translation?

defd, it's hard to respond to this because I'm in such a different place mentally than you are.
I would suggest that you research the early history of the WTS. If you can look at what these men were preaching back then and still think that Jesus judged this organization to be the only one teaching "truth" at the time he supposedly came to inspect the troops, then I don't know what to say to you.

and anyone pronouncing the righteous one wicked-even both of them are something detestble to Jehovah, says proverbs 17:15
Who said they (the WTb&ts) were "the righteous one"? Well, they did that themselves, didn`t they? That`s not "righteousness" defd, it`s selfrighteousness! - and that is something completely different!!Anyway, Annie said it the best, so why don`t you respond to her post? Ah, I forgot, you won`t do that, will you? You just show up to spew some JW-propaganda that we`re all "doomed", and then you just piss off. You should be kicked out of here, imo. Edited to add: You Defd, the problem here is that you DON`T show the JWs in a good light, doing what you do! Yeah, yeah, it`s ok that you ignore me, I`m a grumpy sob, but Annie (Sunspot) asked you a perfectly good and logical question (both here and in her new thread), and you refuse to answer!!! So I ask you: Why are you even here, then?

I agree 100% with defd.
After I left the JW cult religion I gained my spirituality and really came to know God just like it says in John 17:3 in The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures page 494 published by the WATCHTOWER BIBLE AND TRACT SOCIETY:
"This but is the everlasting life in order that they may be knowing you the only true God and whom you sent forth Jesus Christ."
But I am still a sinner and Jesus said that's who He came for. Too bad the JW's are told that they alone are Jehovah's righteous people because they get out and pretend to go from door to door.

Have I become more tolerant of practices that God condemns?
God is free to condemn whatever he wishes, and I am equally free to refrain from doing so. "Judge not, that you might not be judged" comes to mind.
Defd, go to your Watchtower library and search for articles about intolerence. You will quickly see how the JWs are intolerent of the beliefs of others, yet they squeal like pigs when others have a low tolerence for their bullshit.

Why would I want to "resist the spirit of the world?" Its where I live, the real world that is, as apposed to living in some WBTS inspired circle jerk fantasy world where I am in mortal combat with demunzz all day while learning how to be a good snake oil salesman.
Pull your head out Defd and check yourself.

defd, you did not write that, that is not how you speak nor is it how you write. Do not take claim for what is not yours.
The rafter in my own eye fell away rapidly, piece by piece, a very long time ago when I could no longer attend meetings at the Central Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses because of the inappropriate shunning and improper counsel I was given as a publisher in good standing.
Little Toe, very well written.
OBEY! erm... amen.

Amid a world that is becoming entrenched in its opposition to God, it would be wise for us to look at our own attitude and values. Periodically, we should examine ourselves to make sure we are not gradually drifting away from Jehovahs thinking and standards. We might for example ask ourselves: Have I become more tolerant of practices that God condemns? Am I inclined to take spiritual matters less seriously than I did in the past? Does the way I live show that I put Kingdom interest 1st in my life? Such reflection will help us to resist the spirit of the world.
I could not find the Watchtower that this came from - but is clearly not yours defd. You can't complete a sentence without massive grammatical errors and mis-spelled words.
Actually, I consider this good advise. That is precisely why I left the Watchtower Book of the Month Club.
Periodically, we should examine ourselves to make sure we are not gradually drifting away from Jehovahs thinking and standards.
I found that Jehovah's Witnesses had not only drifted, they had run in the opposite direction. No love as Jesus commanded among the brotherhood. Allowing the GB to fill the role reserved for Jesus as Mediator to man. Preventing Christians from partaking of the symbolic flesh and blood of Jesus in communion, thereby insulting his very sacrifice. Letting the 'devotion to books' replace the Bible as man's guidebook. Lying about the witness history. Covering up bribery and incest and rape in the congregations. Breaking up families. Controlling and rules for every thing under the sun, just like the Pharrisees.
By exiting the organization, you too defd, could 'resist the spirit of the world', as I do now as a freedom loving Christian trying to help all I can to flee the grasp of this hateful Satanic Cult.

Central Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses of Vancouver, Washington. The presiding overseer at the time was Brother Burns (since deceased). A cruel person.
