i love the four seasons as well. did you know that until the 20th century, vivaldi was all but forgotten. his work was known, but not really taken seriously. if anything, just played for practice. although there were always artists that loved him, he was not brilliant by consensus.
my favorite movement from the four seasons on the adagio non molto in the winter portion. i would love for this peice to be played at my wake when i die.
love pachabel's canon too. just played it with my wife at a recital a couple of months back. it has always been arranged quite slowly and melancholic, which is fine, it's beautiful that way. but we played it with a little more zest, and i really like the way it sounds a bit faster.

LOL. i was raised on the stuff. my dad was always a big classical lover. and i take a 1 hour cello lesson at a conservatory once a week. and i stayed at a holiday inn express last night. lol.
