This morning I treated myself to a breakfast taco from the cafe downstairs in my building: scrambled egg, sausage and cheese wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Add a little hot sauce, and it's a great Texas breakfast! And I'm having a capuccino from our firm Flavia coffee machine. I alternate the tacos with a crunchy granola bar on work mornings. Before I leave the house I have a big glass of orange juice with my morning vitamins and herbs.

There used to be a day when I'd go out with nothing, or on a rare occasion a slice of toast.

Nowadays I look after myself a little better and I'll have three Weetabix and a glass of fruit juice with a vitamin supplement.

When I'm travelling I'll have a full big-ass British breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, etc.

First I have a couple of cups of coffee, after I wake up I start on a small cup of hummus and carrots

I get up at 4:00 a.m. and am at work by 6:00, so buy 9:30, 10:00 If I don't have meetings then I will eat my Hummus.

Mmmmm homemade hummus, not like the usual beige gray hummus. It's the Best.

Usually just liquids, and usually just coffee. But if not just coffee, I will drink a small can of V8, a glass of OJ and a glass of milk.

If I do actually eat breakfast, which has been more frequent lately, it's usually an omelette and sausage.

Raisin Bran with sliced banana, strawberries, and blueberries on top (when in season), with soy milk instead of regular milk. Gotta keep the skids greased!

I love it when I stay somewhere that does something other than "full English" - kedgeree, or kippers, or pancakes.

At home I might have crumpets, porridge, cereal, toast, bacon sandwich or fruit. I haven't bothered with eggs for months, can't see the point of them if I can't have a runny yolk. I liquidised two bananas with some ice and milk one morning this week, that was scrummy.

A homemade smoothie (my own invention)

1 cup of non fat milk
    1/2 cup of orange juice
1/4 cup of crushed pineapple (no sugar)
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 cup Ricotta cheese
    3 teaspoons Splenda

Blend for a bit, and it is two large glasses full. (when I'm in a rush, I make half a recipe, and it doesn't take as long to drink. Yummmmmmy!
