1% / year growth for the past 20 years, and suddenly they "need" so many new or remodeled Kingdom Halls.
k, who else has heard this, and how should i respond, other than to say well your cong is smaller now than it was 15 years ago..... where your growth?
You could always just be honest and say that given the near constant 1-2% increase, clearly so many projects are needed because of gross organizational mismanagement and poor planning over the last 20 years. After all, if they're doing it "the right way" now, that must mean they weren't doing it well before.

Its all a pretentious money grab where the WTS heads are thinking they can be more cost effective by using modern technology such as the inter-net and spread its literature digitally, saving money on printing costs.
The WTS's financial game now is real-estate investing, upgrading properties and selling them for a profit.
After the WTS made a billon dollars $$$ off its Brooklyn property sales , its no wonder the Borg is pursing this direction.

40,000 KHs would mean, on the low side, that they need space for roughly 4 million JWs. So, apparently, half of the JWs currently need to be moved into a new KH, which means that literally every current KH should be overcrowded.
It's amazing how terrible JWs are at simple math when it comes to something cult related.

The WTS has certainly taken on more concern and focus on money accumulation more so than any time in its history.
