That's how I feel. I retired from the state of Washington at age 50. I was making $59,000 a years. My retirement is only $22,000 a year, becasue my ex-wife gets a third. I immediately started college at age 50 and if they ever approve my thesis I'll have a master's degree in applied linguistics. I'm finding that teaching jobs don't pay much and what else could I do with a master's in applied linguistics. I didn't go to college to get rich. I went because I had always been angry that I hadn't gone to college right after high school and because I wanted a changed of career. However, I'm feeling a bit frustrated.
