My "beer" I drink is Smirnoff Ice, and I'd say it takes 5-6 before I'm a little drunk.

Little Toe - don't you think its disgusting though to watch someone drink 15 - 20 pints in one night?
It puts me off going into town at a weekend because the place is just full of drunken fools drinking as much as they possibly can and having a kebab and a fight on the way home, god only knows what it will be like in a few months when they bring in this new 24 hour liscence thing.

I agree, something up with youth drink culture in Britain at the mo, I'm glad I was just leaving university when it all started going wrong a few years ago, although I do hope the 24 hour thing will help it rather than make it worse.

It depends on the type and brand of beer.
I have to drink quite a few "light" beers before I get a buzz, but at the same time I only have to drink one high-quality Belgian Ale to get a very nice relaxing buzz. This is because the high-end beers tend to have a much higher alcohol content.

I used to be able to down quite a few beers, when I was younger, (pre-children days) LOL....now after about two, I'm tipsy.....my husband calls me a cheap date.. My drink of choice tho' isn't the typical pi$$-water beer.....I like Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's, and my favorite, (drum roll please....) Hobgoblin!!! I always have plenty on hand, especially at Christmastime.
It's yummy.... these I sip. Not guzzle, so I can usually drink a few)
