  In the sept 1st Watchtower, an article entitled: 'Mennonites search for bible truth', I came across this paragraph...

  ' In Bolivia, for instance, an estimated 38.000 Mennonites live in numerous remote colonies, each with different rules of conduct. Some colonies forbid motor vehicles, permitting only horses and buggies. Certain colonies forbid radio, TV and music. Some even forbid learning the language of the country they live in. "So as to keep us under their control, the preachers don't let us learn Spanish," commented one colony resident. Many feel oppressed and live in dread of being expelled from the community - a terrible prospect for one who has never experienced life outside.'

  Sounds a lot like the WBTS!!!! "So as to keep us under their control, ......... I really wish that they would take a close look at themselves!!! They should not look at others until they do so. They are always beating down on others. Come on people does it really make a differance?? We are all human.

  The WTS prints examples like this to help make themselves look reasonable. JWs will read it and think, "how can these poor souls allow the church to dictate to them these things" not realizing that they are in the very same trap. Point that out and they like to say they are being "protected". What's the difference between that and what the Mennonites are doing?

  I find it interesting the quotes they used. The WTS isn't far behind the Mennonites actually. In the JWs motor vehicles aren't banned, but sporty cars are frowned on and can get you counseled for being materialistic. TV and music isn't banned...but heavily warned against as far as content goes. So while these things are banned for Mennonites, JWs are made to feel guilty for enjoying the same things. Just a different level of control, but still control.

  The WTS is better at marketing than Mennonites though. The WTS likes for JWs to learn new languages...then they can guilt them into using that new language to further the WTS work.

  Not only that Ring Wielder, but the Mennonites practice shunning or disfellowshiping, something the Watchtower article described as cruel.

  According to this, it's the Amish that practice shunning. The mennonite website says they have'nt practiced it in quite awhile. I wonder if they can sue the WTBS for libel.

  Shall we Say "Pot Calling The Kettle Black" Haha the watchtower is really being a sarcastic bunch or asses or they really think the R & F are gullible to swallow this. Sad thing they will probably read this and nod their heads like a bunch of good sheep. Yes sir Yes sir 3 bags full.
