This is why if you were around I would have you coaching baseball with me or hold some position with the local Little League. YOU'D make sure no other young boy had the same experience as you did.
I believe every little boy and girl deserves to be a hero - even if it is just for a moment.

I was very athletic as a kid, baseball, football, track, basketball, and I remember the kids at the end of the bench. I always felt for them, and tried to choose them in neighborhood games. I forgot all those people until today, when I read your very touching story. Strangely, I feel today as out of place amidst my peers as you did in your red uniform.
