I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO KEEP MY FEELINGS ABOUT THE JW ORGANIZATION ON THE BACK BURNER FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW AFTER GOING THRU THERAPY AND SEVERAL SLEEPLESS YEARS BUT NOW ITS TIME TO SPEAK MY PEACE.
THIS IS MY THIRD TIME ON THIS BOARD AND THE SNEAKING AND COVER-UPS OF THE ORGANIZATION DISGUSTS ME. YOU WOULD THINK THAT IF THEY HAD GOD BEHIND THEM THAT MUCH NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENED WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION THEY WOULD DEAL WITH IT THE PROPER WAY INCLUDING CONTACTING THE AUTHORTITIES WHEN REQUIRED THEY MIGHT GET MORE RESPECT FROM THE OUTSIDE.
I WAS ALWAYS TAUGHT IT WAS WRONG TO JUDGE OTHER PEOPLE BUT IT WAS THE ELDERS PASSING JUDGEMENT AND NOT GOD THAT RAN ME AWAY.
TO SUM IT UP THEY ARE WORRIED ABOUT THE OUTSIDE WORLD JUDGING THE ORGANIZATION BUT THEY BETTER PRAY THAT JEHOVAH ISN'T HALF AS JUDGEMENTAL AS THEY ARE.
A STRONG ORGANIZATION NEEDS NOT TO HIDE ANYTHING

Hi
Do you have a CAPS LOCK button on your PC?
The WT / GB are hypocrites of the highest order, liars, decievers, imposters, Pharisees. Im glad you see that. Its so sad they have to be like this, but Christ forewarned us of them.

You stated, "TO SUM IT UP THEY ARE WORRIED ABOUT THE OUTSIDE WORLD JUDGING THE ORGANIZATION BUT THEY BETTER PRAY THAT JEHOVAH ISN'T HALF AS JUDGEMENTAL AS THEY ARE."
You got that right.

Hi Friend...
Welcome! I think a strong organisation needs to keep some secrets without appearing to be secretive. But I'm sure GOD'S organisation ought to be open and honest in its dealings and policies, which the WTBTS isn't.

friendorfoe,
Welcome to the board. Gee, your name sounds sooooooo familiar I wonder where I have heard that before???
You are so right. The org. need to realize that because they think they are the forefront for Jehovah and carry his name on their lapel cards that Jehovah will be judged by the people of the org. and their wicked deeds. Not true. Imperfect man needs Jehovah, Jehovah doesn't need imperfect man. He needs no representatives.
PS. logical asked if you had your cap locks on because when you type in cap locks it represents shouting. Your post was loud and clear and needed to be!
We hope you become a regular as all input good or bad helps to pave a road that is full of pot holes. -

Hi friendorfoe; and welcome to the board!
I agree the Watchtower do have some problems, and their professional secrecy will turn out to be a huge disadvantage. Since I don't believe in "jehovah", I don't believe it's of any interest what this guy might feel about them - but they should start to worry about how the society feels. Start worrying about following the law, and stop harassing people, breaking up marriages and families.
If they stopped behaving the way they do - and started "worshipping" some "god" (and I couldn't care less what and how many "gods" they worshipped), I'm sure people like me - and most people on this board - wouldn't be interested in spending 5 minutes worrying about their actions.
If they started behaving like human beings, living like they claim to teach, to love their fellow men and following the laws of the country - the alleged "persecution" would dissappear. Unfortunately they have PRODUCED persecution ON PURPOSE since the time of Rutherford. The Watchtower NEEDS "persecution". That's the only "alibi" they have for being "The people of Jehovah" - exactly like the world economy needs war to go round.
It's easy, really - you only need to open peoples eyes.....

Kent, once again you've nailed the society right between the eyes. They do indeed need persecution. On one level, they need it so they can be seen as fulfilling the scripture about Jesus' followers being the objects of persecution.
But more importantly, the need it (and in many, many cases manufacture it out of thin air) because of its value as a unifying agent. It gives a sense of solidarity to the group. And it justifies their group hate. Remember the "two minutes hate" in 1984?
The more you know about Jehovah's Witnesses, the more you can realize how very dangerous they really are. Thank God they have no political power, or we would all be in big trouble, or in jail, or dead. If they ever change their policy of strict political neutrality, I for one think those of us who see them for what they really are will have some powerful, soul-searching questioning to do.
