If it cost 1/4 the price of a real car, yes.

I think they are cute. Here in Edmonton there are a few tootling around, and they get a LOT of attention parked in the mall. I saw one parked sideways where no regular car could go, and all of a sudden it looked DARNED attractive.

They've been selling them in Vancouver at the Benz dealership on Broadway for over a year. If you want to buy one, be warned that they're on backorder b/c they're so popular.

I wouldn't mind on myself; I'm 6 foot 2, so if Danny Bloem is right, then it'll be fine to drive.

Absolutely! I just filled up my car yesterday and it cost me $49.00!!! If I lived just a couple of miles from work, I would certainly get a car like that.........I'd save a fortune in gas!!

By the way everyone, September 1st is the day when we're being asked NOT to put any gas in our vehicles!! I know everyone won't listen, but if we can make a difference in doing something to try and lower the cost of gas, I'm willing to try.

We've had these cars for ages - quite a few people have them & are rather zippy. They have also recently launched the bigger 4 door smart car - a lot more comfy and rather nice.

Just a point of note on the internal space - I'm 6" and suffered no discomfort. I've not been in the Roadster version, but given that GermanExJW is bigger than me, I think it's safe to say they aren't as small internally as you might otherwise think.

That having been said, with the same gas frugality, I think I'll stick to my bike for now

    Holy Fcking Sht!!!!!!

I just did a pricing for one of those little fortwo Smart cars in Canada. For a Basic model with no options it starts about about $20,000 US ($22,849 Canadian)

I was expecting them to cost about $8,000 US... NEW

Forget that... hell NO am gonna pay $20,000 + for 1/4 of a car!

No wonder the company is going broke, they're either price gouging or they're just plain stupid.
