  Contrary to popular belief, a "hookah" and a "bong" aresomewhat different, even though in the states people have used hookahs for a while for pot. Hookahs in the east are used for a sweetened tobacco, smoked through water, usually in a social setting, and the experience, flavor, etc., is different than cigarettes, pipe tobacco, etc. and finally catching on here. It also takes quite a bit of the crap out of the smoke, and is "cooler". It's alot closer, however, to the whole cigar or pipe thing, in that a lot of smokers are'nt "addicted" habitual smokers.

  'Bong' is just slang for a water pipe. For some reason if you go into a smoke shop and call it a bong they'll ask you to leave...

  But in common parlance it ahs become almost universal parlance for mj pipe..........

  Yeah hookas are great Ive used quite a few in my day...for legal tobacoo use only, of course.

  Do a search for 'hookah' on eBay and you'll see a lot of cool ones at reasonable prices.

  Yeah, I've smoked one as well. My husband tasked me with acquiring a hookah before he came home for R&R. I searched on Ebay for them. I actually found a really nice one. It was way reasonably priced (19.95 + 10.00 shipping) It is authentic (from Egypt) and works very well. It is very pretty as well.
