(((Merry))) -- that prayer is just beautiful!

Thanks to ((((((ALL)))))) who participated in this week's vigil.

I have a lot to think about this week. I began another thread under Blood, Medical Treatment asking those with any experience with Adriamycin (doxorubicin) therapy alone to share their input with me. Based on three recent studies, it seems it would be better for me to add this chemical to my regimen. It means another three months of chemotherapy, continuing treatment over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, and generally just feeling crappy for longer. I have not yet decided whether or not to add this therapy, but I am leaning toward yes, because it attacks cells at a different stage of cell division than the two other chemotherapy drugs that form part of my current regimen. And the risk/benefit is looking pretty helpful. It's just that Adriamycin is usually used in conjuntion with other adjuvant therapy and I'm having difficulty knowing what the benefit will be to me if it is NOT combined with the usual additional drugs. I'm already in for an entire year of Herceptin treatments and the radiation therapy after the chemo is done, plus 5 years of oral anti-hormone drugs. I loathe to drag this out, but don't really want a recurrence, either, if I can avoid one.

    Decisions, decisions!

Plus, I'm missing my Lena who is back to school in Florida. She was a great support to me all summer. Of course, I'm thrilled that she's healthy and able to return to school after January's brain surgery. She's very excited and called to say she was going to the beach today!

I cannot express how much your caring means to me, ((((((((((everyone)))))))))! It helps brighten my week, every week!

    Love,

    Brenda
