Well it would seem to me that as long as they take care of the JWs who need help then they can be sure they don't lose a few along the way.
You would think though that somewhere along the line the WTS might see this as a preaching opportunity as non-JWs get rooming help with those JWs who have place to put some family up for a bit.
On the other hand wouldn't is be something if the JWs refugee wound up being housed with an apostate family? The things we could teach them!!!
Oh geez, that gives me an idea... Will post more in the a.m .....
I won't be calling any WBTS #.
My $$$ goes to the Red Cross or the Salvation Army. Those organizations help EVERYONE, not just JW in 'good standing'.

Wrong. All of the carriers from N.O. each use an HLR system that is not based in N.O. This Home Location Register tracks where a subscriber is at all times, even across the country. Let's say if you live in N.O. and travel to California, your phone is given a VLR(visitor location record) from the local CA mobile telephone switching office. The local CA office simply tells the HLR that you are on their network now and that your phone needs authorization to use the network. The HLR then tells the local office to issue a VLR to the mobile. The subscriber can now make and receive calls.
I guarantee you that even if you tried to call Bryan(have you seen my mother), if he has a N.O. based cell phone number and he is in TX right now, it will ring through to him.

I don't remember where it was, but someone posted within the last day or two something about a CO in northern Texas actually discouraging people from taking care of refugee JWs. It really saddened me, so I'm glad to hear that most JWs are more like normal people and welcome opportunities to help in the face of such disaster.
