Keeping the website may create more problems that what it solves. It will be deactivated in the next 48 hours. It is time to step back and just get ready for the extensive relief work that lies ahead.
Yup,just posted at their page
So, the corporate giant once again squashes individual initiative. I'm sure that's what happened in this case.

I suppose they're getting upset because some of this info is being leaked out to the public over the internet. Not only was it posted here, but also at http://www.joplinindependent.com Click Forums and then General. Look at the one on JWs and Humanitarian Efforts.
On the http://www.jw-aid.com site out of Orlando, I find verrrrrry interesting this little blurp:
"You may want to call or send a letter to their Kingdom Hall. Search for the published address and telephone number at www.google.com (for example, search for "kingdom halls near carencro louisiana."
Carencro, Louisiana is the town I grew up in and where I graduated from. I also own a home and property there.
i guess the ones that post at that joplin ind. dont read their own km and watchtowers.
how many articles warn witnesses NOT to give to charities. .and list how little of your money actually goes to people in need.
i was a jw all my life and not ONCE in ANY meeting in ANY article in ANY publication was charitable donations EVER encouraged. to the contrary, they were actively DISCOURAGED.
of course i havent gone regularly in a few years so maybe " new light" has been shed on that issue since 9/11.........cuz i know after 9/11 they were still discouraging charitable donations to anyone other than the wtbs.
What a farce. What kind of person remains a JW after such a tragic event occurs and the very organization they believe in offers nothing except more warnings that the "end" is coming, and promises to get disaster relief only to their own kind (by donations earmarked for whatever the WT decides) ? If I were a JW I would be sitting in a hall wondering why we couldn't make THIS ONE EXCEPTION to our stance against charitable donations and donate to the Red Cross. I can't be the only person who would feel that way. There must be some JWs that don't have their brains scrambled. What kind of loving organization pressures its individual members to shut down a website set up for "JW Aid" ? What kind of person allows themselves to be silenced like that? Holy crap, these people are complete lunatics.

Actually I know of several Jehovah Witness who donate funds to the Red Cross and purchase Girl Scout cookies. Do not make statements you cannot prove. J/W are mostly nice caring people who follow the bible scriptures, remain neutral in war, and try to assist others with bible education. What about the Catholic church stand in WWII - siding with the Nazis? Do you criticize the Catholic Church for their stand?

The pot is calling the kettle black.
Honesty,
I've made numerous posts there already. I wish someone else would just call attention to the poster you quoted with the following link:
