I also heard a bit of interesting trivia I never knew before on the car radio on my way to work a couple days ago. Apparently there's a connection between the Led Zep song 'Stairway to Heaven' and the Gilligan theme song. Some old band called Little Roger & the Goosebumps did a parody; with lyrics from the Gilligan theme set to the music of Stairway.
Also, Stewie's middle name is Gilligan (from Family Guy).
