In Halifax, Nova Scotia, three Canadian navy ships, a coast guard vessel, several Sea King helicopters and about 1,000 personnel were preparing to leave for Louisiana. The ships packed supplies for two to three months.

"Canada was built by neighbors helping neighbors in times of crisis. That doesn't apply just within our borders," Prime Minister Paul Martin said at the naval dockyard.

Even though you are always bragging about your health care, and complaining about how weak our beer is ("It's like piss-water, eh?") , you guys are alright!

Hey, we like you guys, even if you have weak beer.

Maybe we should send down another boat with the real stuff.

Well Thanks! Some of the guys that went down there just got back only a few days/weeks ago from other places but they wanted to help so they said goodbye to there families again! I think that is great of them.

I'm Canadian and I drink your beer I like it.

You see, I never drink water, so it's good to drink diluted beer

My ancestors were Americans so, I feel like an American, although I live up here.

I have a couple friends who were deployed. Take care of them down there! We're not used to actually using our military. Oh, and just a note. If you see a Sea King flying overhead, watch it very closely ... be prepared to run. They have a tendancy to turn into submarines very quickly.
