Yes, although this year is a bit different. I don't really feel like it's Sept. 11. I guess this is due to my attention being focused on the victims of Hurricane Katrina for the last almost 2 weeks. Nevertheless, I'm going to visit one of the memorials here in NJ this morning. The same lookout where I watched the smoke/dust clouds from across the river a few days after the disaster.

In a way. My heart catches when I watch an old movie showing the twin towers in the background (like "Men in Black" or "The Thomas Crown Affair" with Pierce Brosnan). The people who died there will never be completely forgotten. May they rest in peace.

From my seadna collection..
Tell me facts about the towers,
touch the place where people fell,
we weep their names but can’t resume
deeper words than tombs will tell.

Yes, I still feel a deep sadness. It was such a horrible day. The pictures on the TV were so unbelievable, and the feeling of powerlessness was overwhelming.
September 11 is a important day to me. A day to remember and to reflect. It is so much more to thousands and thousands of Americans who lost loved ones..

Yes, but it does not make me think "end of the world", rather it makes me realize how extreme people can be and thus it keeps my gaurd up.

I know this sounds horriable but i had kind of forgotten until this thread.....and now its coming all back to me. I still get shudders if i see images of the twin towers fallling. I taped all the documentary's on it and would one day like to show my son when he is old enough.
