    G'day all,

    How's this weekend treating you?

It's hard, I know, to get too excited when so many in the southern USA are suffering so much, but time for reflecting on the truth about "the Troof", so settle back with a nice refreshing drink and ponder awhile with us over this weekend's poll.

    The question is .................................

If the elders announced we were to work in the Kingdom Hall with the Salvation Army on poor relief, I would........

    1. Jump at the chance.

    2. Send a "Question from Readers" to the Watch Tower.

    3. Pinch myself to see if I was dreaming.

    4. Complain to the circuit overseer about our 'apostate' elders.

    5. Ask them who 'qualified' for the 'privilege'

    6. ask them if we would have to do "the Text" with them.

    7. Ask them if the Salvation Army people would be in 'their' uniforms. After all, the Dub uniform is so much better!

    8. Ask them if this would be in a "Local needs" part.

    9. Think that this may be a real opportunity to do something good for "worldly people".

    10. Other (please detail)

So think about it and let us know. We'll be waiting!

    Cheers from the land downunder,

    Ozzie

THe only JWs I know are my parents, so I will answer what they would say.

    9. Think that this may be a real opportunity to do something good for "worldly people".

This will be an exciting opportunity to not only help others in need (which my parents already do for both JWs and 'worldly' neighbours), but to give a 'witness' that Jah's organization truly shows the Christ-like quality of agape love.

    10. Other. If the Watchtower Society can justify becoming an NGO of the United Nations, than ecumenical relief work with the Salvation Army should be o.k. too.

The only way the WTS would do this is if they government "encouraged" them or lose their nonprofit status. After all, they "associated" with the UN when it was to their benefit.

I have no problem working with the Salvation Army, but not unless they are in charge at the KH.

If the elders announced we were to work in the Kingdom Hall with the Salvation Army on poor relief, I would........

    1. Jump at the chance. TODAY I WOULD JUMP AT THE CHANCE no longer being a Witness I'd love to see what transpires

    3. Pinch myself to see if I was dreaming. AS AN ACTIVE DUB, YES, I'D BE VERY CONFUSED After all, we're not supposed to buy from their demunized thrift store, nor donate to them

    9. Think that this may be a real opportunity to do something good for "worldly people". AS WITH TAL, THIS IS WHAT MY PARENTS WOULD SAY, TOO, a chance to do some real witnessing!

    10. Other (please detail) MY FIRST RESPONSE WOULD BE "WTF?! You gotta be kidding, right?"
