Thats because less JWs are actually going out. Recent Saturday morning at the KH where 3 book study groups meet: 6 JWs at the service meeting out of 35 publishers.

My impression is they are spending about 10 min door banging, then 90 minutes at the donut shop, counting it all as 'time' on their reports. I do find the odd WT at the laundromat (which is promptly thrown in the trash) or their cute little flyers on the subway....ughhhhhhhhh
