It's my understanding that when Hurricane Andrew hit in Miami, the witnesses first helped each other then helped unbaptised publishers and Bible studies. That's how they can say "we help our neighbors too".
PS, the article cited earlier sounds like a PR piece and was probably written by the Society and circulated to various newspapers for publishing.
Why are they rebuilding the Kingdom Halls first and not homes?
We must not forget that the Kingdom Hall™ is the most important building in the territory. It is the center of True Worship™. Where else can those hungering and thirsting for Spiritual Nourishment™ go? Why store up treasures on this earth where moth, rust, and natural disaster consume? Is it not preferable to put our own materialistic™ desires on hold so we can quickly resume our service™ to Jehover™? Ok, now it's my turn to puke. W
Yah we've discussed this before . The WTBTS has it's building department charge for labor and material to the insurance company then they get "volunteers" to do the labor . That's what we call insurance fraud . I almost gagged at the part where jehovah's witnesses accept the bible as the word of God . It's more like the jehovah's witness believe whatever the WTBTS has to say about the bible .
