I've had crushes on a couple of men on this forum.

I wouldn't mind finding an intelligent xjw to settle down with. I think an xjw is the only type of person that would understand me.

Ahhh...don't knock the other guys completely though. Mozz never was a JW, nor does he have any friends or family that were JWs. He doesn't "get" certain parts of why my clock ticks the way it does, but he empathizes with it. I love that he has a different childhood, different experiences...it's what I want to give my future children. But I also don't expect him to understand that portion of me. It's YOU guys that fill that need for me...I don't look to him to fill every need. I find our different backgrounds actually help me balance out that fact that I'm an exJW. Because I don't want to be one of those exJWs where all I AM is an exJW. I want a counterpart to help remind me that it is only one facet of who Andi Weathersbee is...it's not what defines me.

BG, I am glad that your experience has been different than mine. I was married to a person who hadn't a clue where I came from and didn't care to get a clue. I agree with you, I dont want somebody to fill my every need either. But it would be nice to have somebody who went through the jw adventure and lived to tell about it. Dont you think it would be nice to have a companion who will understand and can laugh with you about the absurdity of what you went through?

Its a very nice idea but it depends on the person. Being an xjw really alters a persons mental state and not always in a positive way, but if they are laughing..yeah it could be very good. But like BG said, it could be a nice balance to have a partner that was never there, where we were, but is still empathetic at the same time. My partner is not this way, unfortunately. He is great in many regards, but still, will never quite get it.... he sees me on this forum and says (tho' very nicely), "arent you over that jehovah witness stuff yet?"...sound like your ex, rodbar? Its like no, lame ass...it doesnt work that way. at least not for me...

and getting back to the subject...

oldflame..sorry to go off on a tangent on your confession of undying love for robdar. (a very very cool lady for sure ) and BTW, since the flowers were my idea, if there is a wedding can i be in it?

Is the correct answer "Jehovah"? Just wondering in case some JWs are trawling through this and trying to lift the tone a little in the interests of impression management.
