I'll be the first in my congregation...if i survive college.

When i was in high school i would get so pissed off when i was encouraged to go to a trade school, it seems that everyone was a HVAC tech or an electrician. I remembered during my freshman year, this elder gave me an application to some "Steam Fitting" trade school.
I didnt say it but i was like "WTF" not only was he late because of the fact that i was ALREADY IN SCHOOL, he was late beacuse i already got accepted the year before.

My dad is an electrical engineer. There were several other people in my hall who had degrees in various different things.

closest thing to professionals were the elders wives who doctor bounced to get more xanax and valium prescriptions. they were quite successful in obtaining legal buzzes.

There's a witness in my area who is a Pharmacist. He is now working for a large Witness owned health food store. I don't know what congregation he belongs to but many of the Witnesses in the Phila area know who he is.

In my original congregation there were no degreed professionals. But in 1977 my then 6 year old daughter met another girl in her class who's mother wanted to study after someone knocked on her door. My wife got the study and this knock dead gorgeous late 20's blonde used to come to our house for the study and we would take her to all the meetings. She only lived about 3 blocks from us.

She was originally from my school and graduated a few years behind me. Once out of highschool she moved to Florida where she was a high priced callgirl. Had a Cadilac and a Vette. I saw the pictures! She asked my wife and I to keep her past confidential between only us. We never told anyone about it!

Well, needless to say, when she was at our house and I sat in on the study, I could never concentrate on what I should have. My mind wondered and wished I could be with her other than the study. Until then, I had never seen such a beautiful woman in person and it was all I could do to not look obvious as to what was going on in my mind.

She was only around for about 8 months and all of a sudden after the school year was over, she and her daughter disapeared. They moved away without so much as a goodby or anything.

Oh well!

We had a well to do couple join the congregation. He was a Pharmacist and she was a socialite. (LOL). Anyway they were wealthy and intelligent. They lasted for about 2 years (baptised and all) before fading and never being heard of again. I am guessing that their intelligence prompted them to investigate the WTBTS properly. They both disagreed strongly with the 'shunning' issue and I suggest this prompted them to examine the religon extensively.
