Anyway, I just wanted to say that it's never too late to pick up your life after the WTS and DO SOMETHING. What are you waiting for? Don't complain that the WTS denied you further education ... go out and make it happen! -- Simon
Congratulations, Simon! Your words above are what many on this forum need to acknowledge and put into action for themselves. I know of many ex-JWS that want to use their Watchtower experience as an excuse for everything that is wrong in their lives, instead of going out there and making something positive happen in their lives. This is unfortunate and unlikely to result in positive circumstances.
It doesn't matter what you do, whether it be education, physical fitness, involvement in a hobby or sport, etc.; it's just important that you get out there and actually do it. Life is like a wave; ride it to its fullest extent and see where it takes you. There's no such thing as "I can't do that." You can do whatever you want in life if you want it bad enough and are willing to pay your dues to get it.
