Perhaps He doesn't view death the way people do. People think of death and from their point of view, that's just the end. But God can bring people back to life so it's more like the person is put on pause.
I'll also address this as a caveat to my other post. It's not my problem that he does'nt view DEATH as the same, but PAIN AND SUFFERING. Ever watch someone die of cancer? See an autistic who can't stop punching or biting themselves?
