It could be true, but check the price of water after that. They'll sell it $5 a gallon.

If true, you're right, it would be world-changing. Hopefully the world oil cartel won't lay claim to the oceans...

George Bush Incorporated would never let it into the states!

I have no doubt that it's possible, but I've been hearing about gasoline alternatives for most of my life. I'm still waiting to see one that becomes widely accepted. I'm sure the oil companies and the governments that collect high taxes on gasoline will find a way to stifle innovation.

I'd have to see a working prototype car with increased efficiency before I'd believe this.

There was a real cool movie 'The Water Engine'. The inventor was made an offer he couldn't refuse by the oil guys.

I keep asking myself: "What about conservation of energy?" Where does the energy to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen come from? If it comes from the gasoline then why not use the gasoline to power the car to begin with?

The energy values just don't add up. I'd like to see a more detailed accounting for where the energy comes from.

I would not be surprised if a scandal breaks revealing that the GB government had been conned.

I think Elsewhere is on to something there with the conservation of energy. The exhaust fumes are then going to be used to spin the mechanism splitting the hydrogen? We can't expect a perpetual motion machine, so gas will always be used. How much gas will it save versus an electric hybrid?
