The danger in the WTS going mainstream is that they lose their "raison d'etre" i.e. why bother going to the KH at all, unless it's to be an alternative to the church down the road.

Excellent point. When you can attend a Baptist or Presbyterian church for one hour on Sunday morning and have no door to door work, then why would you want to attend a more mainstream JW Kingdom Hall with whackos?
and chances are that at the local Presbyterian or Baptist church they might actually hear a sermon on a passage of scripture! I do not jest! Before the loyalists jump in here, they should remember that it's RARE for any talk at a KH to explain a passage of scripture. This partly explains why so much of Witness teaching is out of context.
