I meant to say, the golden calf thing did NOT happen before the situation in Ex. 19 (The Israelites shaking and anxious at the foot of the mountain.)
The watchtower mentions these two different situations, like if it was only one. The one with Moses coming down the mountain was indeed AFTER the golden calf.
By the way, is there any possibility to edit a post here? I hate mis typing (gold caf instead of golden calf) and would like to edit it!

I was getting the impression they were taking the seat of moses myself and not Aron . They have been claiming to lead their church to the promised land for over a hundred years . Moses was the channel of communication in his day Aron seemed to play a very minor part , we could speculate why he wasn't punished along with those that worshipped the gold calf but what's the point there anyway. I don't think he worshipped the calf or accepted it as representative of God. They weren't officially in the covenant until the 10 commandments were presented to the people , then moses sprinkled blood on the people from the first sacrifice . something like that . I just get really tired of the modern day church trying to find an ancient counterpart just so they have some new profound stuff to print in magazine .
The study sucked. Especially the part about how the worldly people just can't grasp how we have the FDS to guide us. They're so blinded. AAAAaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!! We dwelt on that paragraph for what felt like 20 minutes.
LMAO@listener --- yah if they dwealt on what a crumby job they've done as a guide like we do they might actually understand how we feel and why we don't take their word for anything . It's like if you can't dazzle them with brilliance then baffle them with bull ............... wow we are evil because they said so ............. jeeze ohh yes we just want to steer them away from the org. because satan has super powers over us we have dull senses much like the ancient Israelites in the time of moses ... blah blah friggen blah . Proverbs 31:6,7—can you elaborate on that?

The words of Lem'uel's mother at Proverbs 31: 1-7, particularly verses 6 and 7, along with the record of Moses making up his own rules for divorce as part of the Law (Deuteronomy 24: 1-4 / Matthew 19: 7and 8) as well as the Apostle Paul imposing his own restrictions on women (1Corinthians 14: 34 and 35, 1Timothy 2: 9-15), IMO are clear evidence of purely human reasoning, not at all from God or His Son, not directly nor indirectly and are certainly not priciples to live by. These 'scriptures' show the popular belief that the Bible, in its entirety, as being the "Word of God" to be wrong.
