What a great news story, Sparkplug I would be proud to be his sister as well. I loved when she said "you live on the good days and cuddle on the bad" it just tugged at my heart and I got all teary eyed.

Thank you all. I can honestly say I have had nothing to do with how all he turned out. He was raised by my stepdad and his mom. that creates a whole problem of its own. I personally think I have nothing compared to his adversities and I am just proud of how he turned out.
He and his wife are so sweet. Actually my JW brother sent me the link this morning. I really really miss my family together. Not that we ever were very much, but the few times I have memories of are wonderful. I need to go to florida and visit.
I just found out that the other baby featured in the newsclip, the baby girl shown briefly is another child that they have taken in, but have not been able to adopt yet.
I do know that last year they almost lost JJ several times due to his illness. They really have heart.

How very neat.
Children who were abused at such a young age take a great deal of work. Friends of mine took in a four year old who had a medical file an inch thick! He had a boxer's face, he'd been punched so many times, deaf in one ear, legally blind. To think there are people on this earth who could be so cruel....
People like your brother are the salt of the earth. They take back some of that hurt.
