I may have a job

Hey all,

My next door neighbour approached me a couple of weeks ago and asked if i would be interested working for him in his new accountancy business. I would be a reception\office admin person and then will be taught basic book keeping.

Today he asked me again and said its all happening sooner than he expected he is looking at offices in the city, and i asked if again i would be interested. He knows im getting married soon and he also knows i want to start a fam soon after and he is still willing to hire me without knowing any of my past jobs. I have studied accountancy in high school, he wants to depending on how well i do put me through me school if im driven enough.

He has given me a week to think bout it and then i may have a job, its all happen so sudden im a little in shock and very very scarred i havnt worked for 3 years and im seriously lacking confidence. But its a great experience especially knowing i want to start a fam in a couple of months and he basically can work round me. He is offering the 2 days that my son is in creche!!!!

I quit!

A lot of people lack confidence when starting a new job. After the first week it seems like you have been there for every. I say go for it. You'll do fine. If you don't like it you can alway quit. The worst part work to me is finding a job. I hate the whole process of resume's interviews, more interviews then they finally want to hire you a month after you have already found another place to work. Taking the job offered to you would eliminate all of that BS.

thanks all, creche legolas is child care its called creche over here.

Im pretty sure im going to take it, but I dont know it just seems a little weird that he is still willing to take me on even tho im trying for a baby, get me i feel bad for him, that he is willing to hire me and then give me time off. But i guess i have told him this twice and he still wants me

I wouldn't think that was weird hun, that means he still wants you even though you will need all that time off. You must have made quite an impression on him.
