(((Jgnat))) Great news, I am so happy for you!!!

I don't think I can add anything to the "suit issue"....you have received great ideas!!!

I liked how you said: you could go to another Kh........and the comparison of that to going to another casino...PERFECT!!!

I have been to many KH's.....it's the same game, the good ole boys club rules them all.

I am glad your hubby has you, such a sweet, caring wife, that will help him on his new journey of life.

Yahoo!!!! This is news I've been hoping to read from you for a long while. I'm so pleased to hear this news! High fives to you, for clarifying the situation to him so well... What a wonderful analogy you gave about the casino. Perfect.

    (Waves at Jack.)

I agree with Frannie... dancing is a great use for good suits, as well as fancy restaurants. He can join Toastmasters, perhaps.

Consignment stores, ebay, goodwill... not for all of them, but for the ones he won't likely wear as often.

Happy thoughts filling my head now... And God bless you and hubby.

How will Jack be able to tell the difference between you and me and kls and so many more I can't name (here and other places)? I remember a few times I thought you gave yourself away but still, what a job! Maybe Jack will learn something on the way. Wouldn't that be something! I hope it all works out for you two!

    Okay, back on subject.

Dave had several nice sport coats, some pretty pricey, and two really good suits, also very expensive. We splurged one time. I also bought him a beautiful camel hair winter topcoat..............really expensive. I'm sure I charged them all. Groan.

Anyway, when we left the WTS, he intended to have everything cleaned and store them in the back of the closet. That was 8 years ago. Since then he has worn his navy suit twice, and both were for weddings. He donated all but one sportcoat to charity. The other was one he bought in Scotland and won't part with. The suits are still in the closet.

The other day, I was going through my ironing pile, and found about 10 dress shirts that had been there for years. That was bad. I put all but one in a bag for charity. He has three hanging in the closet. It seems a shame to keep them when they get so little use, but it would be worse to have to go buy one for another wedding, funeral or special occasion. So, they stay in the back of the closet.

We had all of my father's really nice dress clothes too, and donated most of them to charity a few weeks ago. Dad is in an adult family home, in deep dementia, so he won't need them anymore. We gave one suit and his wool topcoat to our youngest son, who wanted them. He goes to church and they fit him.

    Just a few suggestions.

I am getting all warm fuzzy feelings reading your suggestions. It's threads like this that make JWD feel like home. I told hubby the "roll up your pant legs, go to a beach and look like an English tourist". He told me I'm cracked. But he knows that! It's why he married me.

Keep in mind, Carla, that I was "outed" because of my real life, not my virtual life. They still may not be able to connect the two. I do know I've dropped enough hints in 6,000 posts. But that's a lot of reading. I mean, I have a lot of trouble tracking down former research and references I have recorded here.

Let's see what the odds would be. There are 31 congregations in Edmonton. My hubby says there are 89 publishers in our hall, though I've never seen more than 70 people attend a regular meeting. Divide in half to give a generous upper limit for number of couples in a hall. Let's say that 20% of the couples are in "divided households". Oh, yes, and half of those it is the woman who is the "unbeliever". Four "UBM Females" per hall, 31 halls, they have one chance in 140 to figure out who I am from this end.

Now, what are the odds of a snooping elder of locating an "UBM female" from the hall to the internet? That is, they KNOW she is on the internet, they just don't know where. I googled "Jehovah's Witness discussion" and got 102,000 hits. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your take, JWD is first hit. To my knowledge maybe a half-dozen Edmontonians visit JWD, but Simon doesn't allow browsers to search for posters by location. Cut in half for females, you might have a one in three chance if you JWD is the "one".

Really like the casino illustration, jgnat.

He could donate the suits to a job center for the homeless or any program that tries to find jobs for the poor. Those who are too financially strapped to be able to afford a suit/dress for a job or job interview would surely appreciate it.

Hey jgnat, I've been thinking about this all day, just being glad.

But I do feel for your dear husband, who you've mentioned has been feeling depressed. He's got my prayers, and I'm thankful that you are so patient and ready for whatever transpires.

You made a tremendous investment... and your return is on its way...
