He derived the 1914 (1915) dates from measurements of the entrance passage from one of the tombs to the entrance of the funerary “pit”, thus on page 342 he states:

This calculation shows a.d. 1915 as marking the beginning of the period of trouble.....Thus the pyramid witnesses that the close of 1914 will be the beginning of the time of trouble....”
We read further on, pages 363-364, wherein Russell now begins deriving dates based on measurements of the “Grand Gallery” of the pyramid (based on the measurements of Dr. Piazzi Smyth). He states:

I've had this problem before. If you copy your post into notepad, and then copy it from notepad into your posting box, it should work. As for Piazzi Smyth, it seems to me he was discredited. I believe he was the only person ever to be kicked out of the Royal Society.
