What a great thread. And so true! I remember a long time ago, a boyfriend kicking my pet ferret because it was chasing and nipping at his heels. (Ferrets are VERY friendly and playful for those of you that don't know. The little gal was just trying to play with him and she gets a boot. ) Anyways, I told him under no circumstances is he allowed to come to my house and treat my children that way. I was a stupid stupid girl. I married him - my now ex-husband.

I've lost count of the times my cat tried tripping me up - he has a nasty habit of sitting right in the middle of doorways so I either fall over him or tread on him.
