I've struggled to learn something with which I could earn a living. I've regretted lost opportunities. I've served my country as a member of the military, and was fortunate to do so in a time of peace. I've discovered joy and happiness in being myself. I've learned how to socialize without trying to convert. I've taken up smoking and managed to quit. I've learned that learning by experience is much better than learning by rote.
I've become free.
Any story of survival after being associated with the organization is wanted and of interest.
Yes indeed, mine was the 'survivor' show and i got "voted off the island"
There is life after survivor and there is life after watchtower,i got my own show now in syndication-dannyhaszard.com
I've had 2 beautiful kids, and since coming to JWD and being deprogrammed, I have also applied to join the police, something I would never have had the confidence to do before.
I have moved away, bought a house, got married and began living my life the way I felt I should. Started going back to school to get a degree, but I have stalled/burned out for the moment.
I want absolutely nothing to do with religion.
Life is good.

At first, I struggled immensely with finding myself. I was really on my way to being a good little drone if it weren't for my raging hormones as a teenager. My DFing was the best thing to ever happen to me. Seriously. The pain was excruciating when it happened, but since then I am so grateful. No pain no gain. But now that I'm out, I'm so happy to have figured out I'm not crazy, am capable of loving, deserving of being loved, and that God is my Father...not some guy in the sky putting checkmarks next to my name everytime I swear, think the wrong thing, or waiting to punish me for every little thing I do wrong.
Life is free. Free is good.
