Did you or anyone you know needed to be dunked more than once because their body wasn't fully imersed.

MY cousin needed to be dunked 4 times unitl he was finally fully immersed on the 5th try.

He was humilated and left the dubs about 6 months later.

Everyone gossiped it was because he hadn't fully dedicated himself to Jehovah on his baptism day.

The truth was, he is very tall and the pool was extremely shallow.

My cousin was very tall, and she had that same issue, although hers was on the 3rd attempt. To my knowledge, she's still in the Org today...

Baptism is only symbolic, so even if he wasn't completely submerged, whats the difference?

Good God that is funny . Maybe you should have recorded that .LOL Yes I guess they gotta make shure that you are completely wet when you get out of the pool . It's a ritual and if you are going to do it you might as well get it done right .

    Greetings!

I've heard brothers who do the dunking mention that they have to dunk again if the person isn't completely submerged.

I don't see how your bro was humiliated. It seems like he would find the situation rather funny. I doubt this was the reason he is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Sounds like you also had some silly folks around talking like that.

i've never seen that but i have seen 2 little people walk right in and out without needing the aid of a dunker. well, in my mind i saw it. and it was cute in a politically correct way
