In a nutshell: I was reared as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and grew up in small-town Artesia, New Mexico, the City of Champions. Most of my immediate family are Witnesses and reside in New Mexico or elsewhere. I moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California in 1989 and have resided in California until 2015. I was baptized in 1990 and spent just over a decade as an active Witness until my disfellowshipping in 2001. I was building a new JW-specific website: www.Jehovahs-Witnesses.info --- But not long after I began that project, my life took various unexpected turns, including marriage and fatherhood, and subsequently divorce, these and other events sidetracked me from that endeavor. Recently, my mother died unexpectedly. She died literally in my arms, having either a heart-attack or PE and I was unable to revive her via CPR. My mother had been a Jehovah's Witness since 1936. My father had died about 8 years previously, literally while out in the public ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. As you can see from my posting history, I used to be much more active on this site as well as in my efforts to address the subject of Jehovah's Witnesses. But as I've gotten older, as more and more time has gone by since my disfellowshipping and the time that I was actively involved in Jehovah's Witnesses, my fire for reform of the Organization or even caring about it at all has waned. Now that my mother is gone, it may be that I may have a little more desire to rekindle my interest in this topic. Time will tell and it depends a lot on my personal circumstances. This is currently, extremely low priority for me. Feel free to message me here or email me.
