Oh my goodness...it's my birthday!

Well actually it's Thursday - but I will be off the board for a day or two while I am celebrating!

Happy birthday, Tres. How many birthday smacks do you get? My birthday is October 15th. I'll be 47, but since no one in the Russian Fed knows this, I'm pretty safe from the birthday spanking. I think maybe they make you take shots of vodka instead and exchange turnip bulb recipes. You get a new babushka if you're lucky.

How are you going to celebrate? My daughter is taking me out Thursday night for a drink and some live acoustic music. Friday I plan to spend doing something fun, like going sightseeing. Saturday, I may have to work. If not, I'll celebrate then, too. Probably talk for an hour on the phone with my sweetheart as well. He's all the way over there in SW Michigan. Lonely guy.

Stretch it out as far as you can. You don't have to limit your celebrating to just one day. And as I tell everyone: enjoy your next journey around the sun.
